So why elevating good?

 

After 23 years of championing many wonderful cultural and educational organizations in the Bay Area, I was ready for my next big adventure. My talents and my passion for good are best used in the service of others. I love this work. It forces me to believe in the promise of the future.

 

I believe that organizations can have fun with fundraising. I know that volunteers can be successful fundraisers. I want to help you include your donors in your important milestones because they will love you forever.  Not only do I believe these tenets but I've helped to make them happen in the organizations that I've led and supported.  We are all agents for good!

 

As a consultant I know that staff and leadership need a helping hand or a gentle nudge to make great things happen. I can provide the expertise to help your organization make the next leap forward. I can't wait to elevate the good that you and your organization are doing!

I've raised more than $25 million for causes that have touched my heart. Professional highlights include stabilizing the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles. As the Executive Director I grew the Museum’s support base with a new major donor program, coached the board on fundraising and designed new programs that supported artists. With the help of volunteers we eliminated the Museum's debt of $1.4M by 70% and ended a multi-year cycle of operational deficits all in three years.

I am a graduate of Leadership Cupertino and Community Leadership San Jose. I'm an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Silicon Valley Chapter, serving on the board multiple times including as President in 2009, on committees and in the mentorship program.  In November 2016 I was awarded Outstanding Professional Fundraiser by the Association of Fundraising Professionals at Silicon Valley Philanthropy Day. I am also a member of the California Association of Museums.

 

I'm an avid museum geek, cat-mom, photographer, golfer, bird watcher, and world traveler.
